Our Firm's History

The J. D. Stuart Law Group, LLC has been in business for many years.  In 2011 the firm assumed its current form on the relocation of a previous name partner.  The firm is managed by David Stuart, an attorney with fifteen (15) years of experience, and all of the staff members had several years of experience before joining the company.

Member in Good Standing with the State Bar of Georgia since 1997.  Admitted to All State and Superior Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.

Jeff P. Willison is an associate attorney of J.D. Stuart Law Group, LLC in the firm’s Kennesaw, GA office.


Born in Mars, Pennsylvania and hailing from Denver, CO, Mr. Willison has strong roots in the Midwest, but found his home in Atlanta.  He headed for the east coast in pursuit of his legal degree and found a match for his passion for beautiful mountains and service to the community.  During law school, Mr. Willison dedicated his time to counsel underclassman on trial advocacy and worked for two years with the university’s international pro-bono project to assist local merchants in Nicaragua to bring their products to market in the United States.  He spent a summer during law school as an extern for a district court judge in Forsyth County, North Carolina, giving him a drive and passion for client advocacy and diligent understanding of the laws and procedures that provide significant benefit to all his clients.


He practices corporate litigation and corporate transactional law.  He has worked extensively in the corporate arena with previous experience prior to law school in restaurant operations, both corporate and internal, along with sales and marketing experience.  He has experience in mergers, corporate formation, contract negotiation, contract drafting, litigation (both criminal and civil), international trade and custom, FDCPA claim work, and TCPA claim work.


Mr. Willison accolades during law school include writing credit on a North Carolina Supreme Court brief,  a member of the regional champion Wake Forest National Trial Team, and a finalist for Wake Forest’s Zeliff Competition for trial advocacy.  He also subsequently served as a co-chair of the Zeliff competition in his final year.  Mr. Willison is also a member of the Pro-Bono Honor’s Society, inducted by Dean Suzanne Reynolds.


He earned his J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law, his Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado where he received honors and distinction.  He is admitted to the bars of Georgia and North Carolina.
